Accounts Payable Associate - QuickBooks Experience

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Associate to join the team at Pacific Eye Surgeons which is the Premier Eye Care Group on the Central Coast with eight locations. This position is responsible for processing payments and deposits for the medical practice utilizing QuickBooks. Responsibilities:
Receiving and matching invoices, collecting receipts and invoices for purchases and matching them to the purchase orders.
Disseminating invoices to management for review and coding if the invoice doesn't require a purchase order number.
Coding all charges to company charge cards, and discretionary accounts.
Collecting receipts for purchases and matching them to the monthly credit card statements.
Entering invoices into QuickBooks accounting system; including generating recurring invoices on a monthly basis.
Filing of paid and unpaid invoices in A/P vendor files on the accounting server, and maintaining a paperless file system.
Prepare invoices so Finance Manager can match to checks; once matched gives checks to owner for signature; once signed, prepares checks for mailing.
Company mail distribution.
The ability to assist other departments with general desktop/printing support.
Ability to offer payroll support and back up in Paychex system.
Provide assistance with medical records.
Other duties as needed this is a developing position and must be adaptable and amicable to changing duties

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Experience in accounting including knowledge of A/P, purchase orders management and payroll.
Experience with medical practices and billing is a plus.
Excellent computer skills including proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong knowledge of account reconciliations.
Progressive responsibility preparing accounting worksheets or schedules.
Ability to perform highly responsible and confidential duties.
Ability to prioritize, plan, organize, and meet deadlines.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
Excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to interface with all levels of staff.
Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance. Schedule is Monday through Friday. 8am - 5pm (1 hour lunch) or 8:30am to 5pm (30 minute lunch)
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma
Associates Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance is preferred.
TRAVEL:
Position will be based in San Luis Obispo but some travel between offices is required. Employee must maintain a valid driver's license, a legal and valid vehicle to drive, along with proof of insurance.
COMPENSATION:
Depends on Experience $13-16 Per Hour - Plus Benefits
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
