Overview:

San Luis Obispo Surgery Center is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead the clinical team. Our Surgery Center is a member of the Surgical Care Affiliates Community. An industry leader, SCA partners with physicians, health systems and payers to develop and implement surgery strategies across the country. SCA now operates more than 185 surgical facilities - including ambulatory surgery centers, surgical hospitals, and hospital surgery departments - in partnership with approximately 2,000 physicians and in affiliation with more than 45 not-for-profit health systems across the country. Accountabilities /
Responsibilities:

Position Purpose:
oThe Director of Nursing is responsible for all aspects of nursing care delivery in the facility.
oAssumes responsibility as Department Manager of PACU/ERU Departments.
oThe DON is also responsible for the Quality Improvement/Risk Management Program for the center and Education Coordinator for the facility, as well.
oAssumes some responsibility of the Administrator in his/her absence.
oAs a Registered Nurse, the DON is also responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge.
Qualifications:

Education, Experience, and Licensure:
oHas successfully completed the program at an accredited school of nursing with a current state nursing license.
oExperience in ambulatory surgery nursing, at least two (2) to five (5) years of nursing and management experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center is desired.
oExperience with Regulatory and Accreditation Surveys (CMS, and Joint Commission/AAAHC Accreditation)
oKnowledge in CMS, OSHA, Accreditation, and AORN Standards.
oDirect experience with Performance Improvement Initiatives
oSuccessful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS)/Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS/BCLS certification.
oSuccessful completion of ACLS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
