Summary:
In this position Communications Specialist position, you will perform a broad range of projects and tasks to develop and execute written communications and content creation for SESLOC.
This position is directly involved in collaborating with internal and external partners to develop, design, write, and proof/edit a variety of communication materials and produce a wide variety of content related to print and digital materials.
The position will create content for the SESLOC website, news releases, social media platforms, publications, speeches, and other print and digital entities as needed.
The position will provide overall support as needed within the marketing department as assigned.
Key
Qualifications:
A four-year college degree in communications, journalism, public relations, English or relevant study at a business or trade school and three to five years of experience in a communications or copywriting role.
Intermediate level experience using Windows-based software (i.
e.
Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
Credit Union or financial institution experience preferred.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent skills in communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Proficient in AP writing style and working knowledge of other common editorial styles.
Ability to determine relevant facts and exercise independent judgment to communicate messages that resonate with specific audiences, appropriate voice and tone.
Works well under pressure and in developing time-sensitive or in real time communications.
Skilled in crafting and conveying compelling narratives in written or verbal mediums.
Valid driver license, registration, and insurance (travels between branches and to events.
) Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.
