This position requires the ability to work well with your hands, attention to detail, and excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Come join our bakery team! PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR BAKERY FACILITY WILL BE MOVING LOCATIONS FROM SAN LUIS OBISPO TO GROVER BEACH BY THE END OF MARCH.
MUST BE ABLE TO RELOCATE.
COMPANY HISTORY In 1991, Joanne Currie and her husband Ross purchased Splash Caf in Pismo Beach, CA.
Over the next 30 years they became well known for winning the 1st place award for their Clam Chowder at the annual Clam Festival.
The cafes now serve more than 40,000 gallons of chowder a year, and they have been featured in several national and international publications and TV shows.
DUTIES Measure and weigh ingredients according to recipes Make dough for bread bowls, bread of the day, croissant & danish Make back up muffin batters & pastry fillings Operate baking equipment such as over, mixers, and dough sheeters Monitor baking process to ensure products are baked to perfection Clean and maintain work area and equipment Maintain high food safety and sanitation standards Communicate any inventory or facility/equipment issues to the Operations Manager Maintain high food safety and sanitation standards Other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS Previous experience working a bakery or food production environment is preferred but not required Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately Strong attention to detail to ensure quality products are produced Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy trays or ingredients Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds up and down stairs Must possess excellent customer service skills Available to work weekends as needed Proof and documentation of being able to work in the U.
