Summary Under the direction of the Payroll and Benefit Manager, the Human Resources Assistant performs a variety of administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's human resources department.
Core Responsibilities Creates and maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resources files and records.
Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
Tracks certifications, licenses, insurances, medical testing, etc.
to ensure personnel files are compliant with policies, procedures, and Community Health Accreditation Partner (CHAP) regulations.
Provides clerical support to the HR department.
Participates and facilitates in New employee orientation.
May assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
Serves as the resource for company technology equipment needs.
All orders will be placed or managed through the Operations Director.
Responsible for obtaining the required approvals before placing equipment orders.
Issues new equipment and provides replacements when appropriate.
Requests employee credentials for network, IT programs and systems, email and email groups.
Removes terminated employees from systems, directory, email and email groups.
Coordinates with Crossroads Teams to relocate files as appropriate.
Collects, wipes, and cleans the equipment from all terminated employees.
Places equipment back into inventory and notating the equipment is ready for re-distribution.
Responsible to keep records of IT equipment placements and provide the Operations Director with up to date information.
Qualifications One year of related experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Proficient with technology applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn computer applications.
Strong detailed-oriented work habits and organizational skills are required.
Able to self-start tasks and maintain workload between different assignments.
Ability to analyze critical concepts and convey them in clearly understandable terms for multiple audiences.
Associate degree in Information technology, human resources, or related field preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
