Responsibilities Update financial spreadsheets with daily transactions Prepare balance sheets Track and reconcile bank statements Create cost analysis reports (fixed and variable costs) Set up new funds Produce checks for grants and fund expense checks Process tax payments and prepare tax return Support monthly payroll and keep organized records Record accounts payable and accounts receivables Process invoices and follow up with clients, suppliers and partners as needed Provide administrative support during budget preparation Participate in quarterly and annual audits Skills Three or more years of relevant experience, preferably in a nonprofit organization using fund accounting.
Past work experience as a Finance Associate or a similar role.
Excellent knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures Advanced MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions) Familiarity with accounting software such as FIMS Organizational and time-management skills Attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors Temporary to Hire position consists of r0 hours/week, non-exempt, flexible schedule.
